Attorney Kathleen E. Kienitz, Esq., CELA, has practiced elder law and estate planning in Lewiston since 1991. Her firm, Elder Law Offices of Kathleen Kienitz, PA, concentrates in elder law and disability planning, estate planning and probate. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and is a certified elder law attorney (CELA) through the National Elder Law Foundation (NELF). She served on the board of Directors of National Elder Law Foundation, and serves on committees on occassion. She is a board member and current vice chair of Maine Legal Services for the Elderly. She was selected as a Super Lawyer by Thompson Reuters Business in 2013. She has been the past chairperson of the Elder Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association. She is an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and has been a frequent planner and faculty member of New England regional and statewide continuing legal education seminars. As as a public service in the local community, she writes and speaks extensively on the topics of elder law and estate planning, and also serves as a trustee of the Woman's Literary Union of Auburn, Maine. Ms. Kienitz graduated from Michigan State University summa cum laude with a B. Mus., and from Northeastern University School of Law.

Attorney Mia Poliquin Pross, Esq. joined the Elder Law Offices of Kathleen Kienitz, PA in January 2018. Mia brings to the practice varied experience in finance, health insurance, and social policy. She spent many years advocating on behalf of health care consumers, helping individual clients obtain denied health insurance benefits and advocating for consumer-friendly health insurance legislation and regulations at the state and national levels. Mia also has experience in the financial services industry. Most recently, she spent several years managing a local non-profit where she was known for her empathetic nature, ability to listen intently, and thoughtful approach to problem-solving.
Mia earned her Juris Doctor in 2004 from the University of New Hampshire School of Law where she served as co-chair of the Public Interest Coalition, and as Chief Note Editor for the Pierce Law Review. She also graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Social Work from Plymouth State University. She is a member of the City of Auburn Planning Board and is active with the Good Food Council of Lewiston Auburn. Mia is a Lewiston native and currently resides in Auburn with her husband and daughter.
Deborah (Gajewski) Poliquin (paralegal) is responsible for managing trust, conservatorship and probate cases, and accounting. She has been with the firm since 2003.
Debra Polley (legal assistant) is the face of the firm and is always ready to pleasantly and competently answer clients’ questions and make sure that their cases are timely processed. She has been with the firm since 2004.
